Huron-Kinloss needs a new pound keeper.

Fred Henderson has resigned the post because he no longer has water or feed at the barn where he housed the animals. Currently, James Irwin and Don Murray serve as pound keepers for the township but both are located in the former Kinloss township.

Clerk Sonya Watson suggested that another pound keeper in the former Huron Township area is required. Council agreed, so the township will advertise for a pound keeper specifically for the former Huron Township.

Councillor Don Murray explained that this is for lodging large farm animals, and the township usually gets only two to three calls per year.
