Her play and film, Niigaanibatowaad: Front Runners, is based on the young native torch runners of the 1967 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg and the injustice that they suffered.  The film won Best Short Live Film at the American Indian Film Festival in San Franscisco in 2008 and has been selected for the Indian Inui North American Native Film Festival being held in Stuttgart, German in December this year.

As a lecturer, Robinson has been a writer in Residence at two universities and has been a guest lecturer at more than 40 universities internationally.

Today, Robinson maintains a busy international schedule but still finds time to maintain the Anishnaabe Racers, a mountain bike and Nordic Ski team at Cape Croker First Nation Elementary School.

Under her direction and leadership, the intermediate girls' team from the school, won the 2009 Provincial title at the Ontario Elementary School Nordic Ski Championships and, recently, she has helped develop a Nordic ski team at Saugeen Ojibway First Nation.

An advocate for First Nations peoples throughout the world, she has been recognized by the Nawaash Band for her positive influence with their youth.
