February, 2010, was certainly a lot better weathe rwise than 2009, which seemed to be the 'longest' month of the year with seemingly endless cloud and snow.

There was less snow this year than last and we had sun on several days with temperatures around the zero mark.  Though to be quite honest, it could be colder if we are to get rid of insects and, especially the beetles in B.C.

February looked quite different in Europe and Canada and the Olympic Games came out better than expected given the mild temperatures and lack of snow.

Here, in Ontario, it was generally mild and we shall have to wait to see if the groundhog predictions will hold up!

Western Europe had snow and more snow but we hear that 'snowdrops' [flowers] are early by three weeks with bitterns and warblers three weeks early as well.

One wonders just what "March Many Weathers" will bring both to us and to Europe!

The moon in March is Full on the 29th at 22 hrs and 25 mins.  It is the Worm Full Moon and known to the Hopi Nation as the Whispering Win Moon.

March 1st was St. David's Day, "Cymru Am Byth", of daffodils and leeks and, of course, the Red Welsh Dragon!

March 14 is Daylight Savings Time

Folklore
