                                               Olympic fans from Saugeen Shores

We were fortunate to be able to witness the Canadian experience at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

The line-ups were long but it gave you an opportunity to talk to other Canadians who shared the same excitement and enthusiasim.

The volunteers were incredibly helpful, whether it was answering questions about the event you were attending or giving you directions at the bus stops or welcoming you to the event.  At each event, there was entertainment so the waiting didn't seem too long.

It was an electrifying  moment to be at a venue when a Canadian athlete was announced.   Canadians also cheered for other athletes as they were announced or completed their event.

We brought a Saugeen Shores banner to wave to the cameras, but our seats were out of camera range.  A local Vancouverite took this picture for us.

Hats off to Vancouver for welcoming so many visitors to their city and providing a safe and happy place to experience the Canadian spirit.
