Greetings all:

We are well into week two of the clinic and the team is becoming more cohesive.

We have all been well and enjoy lots of mingling with folks on the base when we get back [from working in the field] There are people working in water purification, distribution of food, tarps, latrine diggers along with helicopter pilots.

This week, there have been two aftershocks, one at 4:30 AM and last night at 1:30 AM.

Its like a low rumble of thunder and the bunk shakes. Some folks run outside. I'm not fast enough,  (I sleep on a top bunk!).  Yesterday, at the clinic, all of a sudden, everyone raced outside!  I had not felt anything but they did - a tremor - and their fear is so high that they move, oh how they move ... sick or not. Most of them sleep outside, either in a tent of some sort or a makeshift structure outside their house as they are so frightened.

The one, night before last, was 4.7 on the Reichter scale ... don't know what the one was last night.

With all this, sleep is somewhat disturbed but ,on the whole, I am feeling rested and learning so much. Thank you all again for your prayerful support.

Shalom

Isla
