Another Bluenose prepares to 'sail'

On Friday, February 19, 2010, Gord Webb and partner, Shirley, purchased a hand made Bluenose II from master model builder, Pat Thorne, Immediately following the transaction, Pat donated the $400 to the Marine Heritage
Fundraising committee for the purchase of a new boat to be used for Chantry Island Lighthouse Tours.

Pat has also built and donated a larger model Bluenose II, a rocking horse and several carved ducks, that are the prizes for a raffle, run by Propeller Club. All the proceeds will go to the new tour boat. Also,

Mr. Thorne has another boat for sale and again, he is
offering the proceeds to Marine Heritage. The Bluenose II takes about a month to build and it is completely hade made. If you are interested in one of these treasures please email Don Warren at chantrybuoy@gmail.com
