Congratulations to Paul Richardson, Moe Freiburger, Ron Teeple and Jim Robertson as they coached the Atom team to a consolation championship at the Barrie Tournament, and then took the championship on home ice at the Tiverton Tournament during the March Break.

Congratulations as well to Jim Andrews, Bruce Ribey, Nancy Craig and Lori Templeton as they proved their coaching ability with their team’s consolation championship at the Tiverton Tournament, also during the March Break, in a double shoot out!

A few big birthdays around the village this month: Doc Roppel celebrated 60 years, Shelley Guse hit the 40 List and Jean Brown celebrated 70 years.

At the Novice and Atom Tournaments in Tiverton this week, money was raised to pay the hockey fees for the children of Constable Vu Pham, the Huron County OPP officer who was killed in the line of duty. A total of $1,082 was raised for the Pham children. Before the final Atom game on Tuesday, the Kincardine goalie picked the name out of the basket for the Toronto Maple Leafs jersey, and Greg Shipp was the winner.

Mark the dates April 8 -10 on your calendar to attend the theatre production of ‘Tales with a Twist’ at KTTPS. Tickets are available at Books and Beans or JB’s Lingerie in Kincardine.


Lions Club
Keep in mind when spring cleaning that the Tiverton and District Lions Club will be holding its annual garage sale on May 14-15 at the Tiverton annex. Donations of items are greatly appreciated. We cannot accept clothing or electronic items. Tables may be rented by individuals as well. Drop-off times will be communicated at a later date. Agricultural Society Euchre Card Party
The Agricultural Society Euchre Card party results were: Bonnie Collins with High Score, Marlene White with Low Score, Margaret McConnell and Bruce McPherson shared the Most Lone Hands status. The next card party is today (March 22) at 1:30 p.m. in the basement at Knox Church. Everyone is welcome and there is a light lunch provided.
