Congratulations to Paul Richardson, Moe Freiburger, Ron Teeple and Jim Robertson as they coached the Atom team to a consolation championship at the Barrie Tournament, and then took the championship on home ice at the Tiverton Tournament during the March Break. Congratulations as well to Jim Andrews, Bruce Ribey, Nancy Craig and Lori Templeton as they proved their coaching ability with their team’s consolation championship at the Tiverton Tournament, also during the March Break, in a double shoot out! A few big birthdays around the village this month: Doc Roppel celebrated 60 years, Shelley Guse hit the 40 List and Jean Brown celebrated 70 years. At the Novice and Atom Tournaments in Tiverton this week, money was raised to pay the hockey fees for the children of Constable Vu Pham, the Huron County OPP officer who was killed in the line of duty. A total of $1,082 was raised for the Pham children. Before the final Atom game on Tuesday, the Kincardine goalie picked the name out of the basket for the Toronto Maple Leafs jersey, and Greg Shipp was the winner. Mark the dates April 8 -10 on your calendar to attend the theatre production of ‘Tales with a Twist’ at KTTPS. Tickets are available at Books and Beans or JB’s Lingerie in Kincardine.
