Ripley 4-H Curlers Hold 4th Meeting and Fun Night

On Friday. MAR. 5th the Ripley 4-H Club held their 4th meeting at the Ripley Curling Club. The meeting started off with Vice President Jacob Farrell calling the meeting to order with the 4-H pledge. We then had the minutes read from the last meeting by the club secretary Craig Myer followed by a vote for approval of the minutes. The club then took on a judging task by judging mugs. The club then did some curling review questions along with stretched lead by Emily Ernewien. The curlers then took to the ice to practice their techniques such as: draw shots, take out weight and sweeping. The members then split into six teams to play a two end game. To wrap up the meeting the club got to enjoy some snacks provided by Patrick and Jacob Farrell and Angeles and Stephen Lewis The meeting was then adjourned by Jacob Farrell.

On Fri. Mar. 12th the Ripley held a fun night at the Ripley Curling Club. This was an additional meeting were any of the members could bring a friend or other people could come out and tries curling. A few new curlers came out to try the sport. The meeting was called to order by the president Bradley Reid, followed by everyone reciting the 4-H pledge. It was a great night as all the members were split into teams of three to play a 3-5 end game. The new curlers showed great effort as they threw the rocks down the ice. The meeting was adjourned at 9:30pm by the president with provided snacks, gratefully appreciated, for members to enjoy!
