Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kincardine and District would like to express our sincere gratitude to the citizens, businesses and service groups of Kincardine, Tiverton, Ripley and surrounding area for the amazing support of the 25th Anniversary Bowl For Kids’ Sake. 

Special thanks to Meridian Credit Union for partnering with the agency through the Good Neighbour Program, and to Bruce Bowling Lanes for hosting the event.

An amazing total of $29,616 was raised through the combined efforts and support of 37 teams including: local businesses, service clubs, youth groups, municipal and recreational groups and teams of friends.

An outstanding effort was demonstrated by the following Top 10 Individual Pledge Earners; Ernie Parent $3,378.65, Paul Pearce $1,385, Matthew Wrightsell $815, Janice Chalmers $650, Jeremy Ling $570, Cyriel Verheye $517, Cynthia Finlay $490, Pam Bayley $490, Doug Storrey $400 and Rick Rock $400.

For his superb efforts, Ernie Parent received the Grand Prize of dinner for four and an evening at the races at Woodbine or Mohawk Racetrack from Woodbine Entertainment.

Draw winners of the gift baskets from Sobeys, Kincardine Foodland, and Zehrs, as well as the McDonald’s Big Mac monthly prizes were: Dylan Mooser, Brydon Nikolic, Ernie Parent and Patti Richards.

Thank you to Kincardine and district for sharing in the magic and making a BIG difference in the lives of children and youth in our local communities.
