remuneration for Kincardine council, Bruce Telecom and associated
boards, came to $315,000 in 2009, up from $301,500 in 2008. That's the word from treasurer Brenda French whose report was part of the consent agenda at the meeting last night (March 17). Taxpayers shelled out $217,469.63 for the nine members of council, while the Bruce Telecom total cost was $98,200.40. Police service board members received a total of $6,956.82, and representatives on the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority (SVCA) received $3,726.85. There was no remuneration for the representative on the Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling board. Mayor Larry Kraemer was paid the most at $41,368.16, including $28,513.66 in salary, $2,080 in per diem, and $4,201.28 in expenses; and for serving on the Bruce Telecom board, $4,125 in per diem and $2,448.22 in expenses. Deputy mayor Laura Haight received $23,242.90, including a salary of $20,665.85, per diem of $1,270, and expenses of $1,307.05. Councillor Guy Anderson (Ward 1) was paid $28,048.79, including $16,741.94 in salary, $2,830 in per diem, and $8,476.85 in expenses. Councillor Gordon Campbell received $20,169.97, including salary of $16,741.94, and expenses of $1,718.03; and for serving on the SVCA, $1,215 in per diem and $495 in expenses. Councillor Kenneth Craig received $20,205.26, including a salary of $16,741.94, pe diem of $1,240 and expenses of $2,223.32. Councillor Ron Hewitt received $23,969.52, including a salary of $16,741.94, per diem of $1,850, and expenses of $3,360.73; and for serving on the SVCA, $1,345 in per diem, and $671.85 in expenses. Councillor Marsha Leggett was paid $27,282.88, including $16,741.94 in salary, $1,560 in per diem, and $7,253.67 in expenses; and for serving on the police services board, $1,621.20 in per diem, and $106.07 in expenses. Councillor Mike Leggett received $25,240.13, including a salary of $16,741.94, and expenses of 5,456.52; and for serving as a Kincardine firefighter, a salary of $2,958.47, and per diem of $83.20. Councillor Randy Roppel was paid $23,011.03, including $16,741.94 in salary, $1,920 in per diem and $4,349.09 in expenses. |
