Three more election candidates in township

Wilfred Gamble is running for re-election as deputy mayor of Huron-Kinloss Township in the October municipal election.

He joins Mitch Twolan who is running for re-election as mayor, and Jim Hanna and Lillian Abbott who have filed to return as councillors.

New to the roster is Carl Sloetjes of Lucknow who has put his name in for a position of councillor on the township council.

Besides the mayor and deputy mayor, there are six councillor seats up for election, along with trustees for the public and separate school boards.

Meanwhile, councillor Kenneth Craig is the only name on the list of candidates for Kincardine council. He is running for re-election as a councillor-at-large.

In Kincardine, the mayor and deputy mayor, plus three councillors are elected at-large. Elected from their respective wards are two representatives from Ward 1 (former Town of Kincardine), and one from each of Wards 2 and 3 (former Kincardine Township and Bruce Township).
