FARM INJURY SENDS ONE TO HOSPITAL

(KINCARDINE, ON.) – On April 14, 2010 at 2:35 pm, the South Bruce OPP were asked to attend a farm along Concession 6, Greenock Township with Bruce County EMS and the Walkerton Fire Department to investigate a farm accident.  The property owner had been trying to knock over a dead tree with his tractor, when the tree broke and fell on him.

66 year old Bernadus Berendsen of Greenock Township was airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London with life threatening injuries.

The South Bruce OPP are working with the Ministry of Labour and Farm Safety Association on this investigation.
