It certainly is nice to see the old Daisy Mart being renovated in the village. I stopped in to ask the contractors what would be going in and they say they will be offices probably for Bruce Power which is great to see since they have already established offices in Underwood and Port Elgin. The Old Blackberry Tales building has also been converted to offices.

Tiverton Library

We know there are lots of knitters in the Tiverton area since you are snowbound every winter so now you can join the Tiverton Library new Knitting Club! Every Monday night from 4:30pm-6pm you can bring along your project and share creative ideas with your fellow neighbors.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be held at Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church on Tuesday February 13 from 5 to 7 pm. Homemade pancakes (gluten free available) with real maple syrup and sausages. Cost is by donation, hosted by the Knox Youth Group.

Tiverton Winterfest reminder! Itís coming Saturday February 10th with lots of fun for the whole family, from a pancake breakfast in the morning at 7 sponsored by the Tiverton Goodtimers, story time and craft at 11 sponsored by the Tiverton Branch Library, sleigh rides at 1:30 sponsored by the Municipality of Kincardine, or a euchre party at 1:30 sponsored by the Tiverton Agriculture al Society. Donít forget the Snow Sculpture Contest with judging taking place at 1:00 pm sponsored by the Tiverton Lions Club.

Also on Sunday the 11th there will be a Winterfest Worship Service & Chili Luncheon at 10:00 at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Skating Party at 12:30 sponsored by the Tiverton Lions Club and Open Mic with Andrew Parkhouse at 2:00 at the Whitney Crawford Centre also sponsored by the Tiverton Agricultural Society. Each year the Tiverton Winterfest will support local clubs, churches and partners.
