Southampton United Church and the Choir have lost a family member.  Lynda Wills passed away peacefully at the Southampton Care Centre on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the age of 69.

Lynda had a beautiful soprano voice and sitting next to her in choir was a privilege and, when she no longer could come to choir, she was truly missed and will continue to be.

Her artistic nature wasn't confined to singing however. She also created exquisite patterns on silk scarves ... one of which I will always treasure ... and vivid vibrant T-shirts.  I will think of her as I wear the shirt with its bright and happy sunflowers that she painted for me.

Beloved wife of Derek Wills of Southampton. Loving mother of Kathleen Hissa and her partner Don Hastings, Cheryl and her husband Kevin D’Arcy, and Michelle and her husband Christian Warnica. Proud grandmother to Trevor Hissa, Reese D’Arcy, and James Warnica. Dear sister to Violet and Alice. Survived by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents James & Clarice Lawrence, and by her sisters Jean and Shirley.

The Wills family wishes to thank Dr. D. McCulloch and the staff of the Southampton Care Centre for their care and dedication to Lynda during her illness. Cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Lynda Wills will be held in the chapel of the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Saturday January 13, 2018 at 12 noon, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Grey Bruce.
