Definitely changed my way of shopping, with the price of gas the way it is too!

Not really. We are seniors and eat very little, although I am glad that we are not feeding a growing family. Then my answer would be very different.

Do wait for the so-called "sales". Often drive to Port Elgin to shop at Walmart because the savings on groceries and clothes far outweigh the cost of gas.

My husband is retired and I still work due to the fact that my job has no pension so saving money for my retirement is important. I try to shop local but it is not always possible. Food, hydro bills, utilities and insurances have all increased but not our monthly income.

Approximately two years ago the price of food went up due to the price of petroleum fuel. Fuel prices have fallen yet food prices have not.

I do a lot more comparing quality, prices,foounless it is all out d value,shelf & food value shelf.Dont buy

it is getting harder to eat healthy, fresh fruits and veggies. with Diabetics in the home this is a must and root crops do not make the cut, they are instant sugar. Frozen helps to a certain amount but gets boring really quickly.
