Yesterday, May 9th, the three Mayors from the Municipalities of Kincardine (Anne Eadie) and Arran-Elderslie (Paul Eagleson) and the Township of Huron-Kinloss (Mitch Twolan) appeared before the Ontario Energy Board.

They were there in connection with the Board's Generic Hearing on Natural Gas Expansion in Ontario and were part of a six-person Southern Bruce witness panel.

The three Mayors described to the Energy Board the approach the municipalities have taken over the past six years and whose goal it is to bring natural gas to Southern Bruce.

The Mayors are optimistic that the Ontario Energy Board will make its decision later this summer or early fall to establish the new rules to facilitate natural gas expansion.
