Local union gets on board for accessible play

The Power Workers' Union (PWU) has once again stepped up to the plate in the community.

Lynda Crombeen, Chief Steward of the PWU, presented a $15,000 donation to Council on Monday night (Dec. 14).

The money is for the new Accessibility Program. "From the moment we heard about this project," said Crombeen, "we knew we wanted to be on board."

The PWU is specific to the Bruce Nuclear Power site in Bruce County and all monies raised from its employees go back into supporting community projects throughout the area.
