The entire cast prepares to take their final bow after a very physical production

Despite near blizzard like conditions and despite that the day had been called as a snow day, with no buses running to schools located throughout Bruce County, more than 100 people turned out to see one of the most comical productions of Robin Hood,

The play was put on by the Saugeen District Secondary School Drama Club with student-producers, Lexie Pullman and Lindsay Rourke.

The costumes were very well done and the sword fighting scenes between Robin Hood and his merry band and the Sheriff of Notingham and his soldiers were highly exuberant and well choreographed.

Jordan Smith, who played Friar Tuck, was very good in the role as were the rest of the key characters of Robin Hood, Maid Marion, the Sheriff.

The scenery changes were simple yet very effective when combined with the lighting affects and carried the audience easily from one scene location to the next.

The play was to have also been put on for the students at Northport Elementary School and Saugeen Central School during the day but weather did not permit it and, therefore, it has been postponed until Monday.
