MAN INJURED IN ANIMAL ATTACK
(SOUTHGATE TWP. ON) – A 53-year-old Southgate Twp. man was rushed to Markdale Hospital and will be transferred to Victoria Hospital in London after he was bitten by a wild dog or possible coyote. Police received information that the animal came onto the man’s property at a residence on Grey Road 9, west of Dundalk around 12:30 pm today. The man, not realizing the animal was wild, approached it and was bitten in the face. The animal left the property, entering the woods.
The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ministry of Health and Animal Control have all been contacted.
Police are advising residents in the area of the attack, asking that caution be taken when out of doors.
