Fatal Snowborder Accident

GREY HIGHLANDS, ON.) – The Grey County OPP responded to the Beaver Valley Ski Club in Grey Highlands around 11:00 a.m. today, to a report of a seriously injured snowboarder. Investigation revealed that a 48-year-old Mississauga Ontario woman was snowboarding on the hill when she left the ski-slope and entered a wooded area where she struck a tree.
 

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported her to the Markdale Hospital where she succumbed to injuries. A forensic post mortem examination is scheduled for tomorrow in Barrie to determine the exact cause of death.

The name of the decease person has not been released pending notification of next-of-kin.
