'Tis
the season to be
jolly, but the
roads weren't
too jolly Friday
or Sunday. Hope
all motorists
were able to
keep their
vehicles on the
road and arrive
safely at their
destinations. Must
say, though,
that we have
been spoiled
compared to last
year's
snowfalls.
Our sympathy is
sent to the
family of the
late Ross Ribey
of Seaforth. His
mother was
raised at Purple
Grove and he has
cousins still
living in the
area. Sympathy
is also sent to
Bev Thompson and
family of
Lucknow on the
loss of Don.
Bonnie and Irene
Boyle, Heather
and Sam Finnie
were among the
folks who
enjoyed the
'family'
Christmas
gathering at
RVilla on
Sunday. Aunt
Olive Hughes was
glad to have
them with her.
The weekend
before, Heather
and Sam visited
with his sister,
Neysa, and Gord
Brown of
Vancouver.
Stephani and Bob
Simpson of New
York State;
Sheena and Bob
Houghton and
family of
Michigan were
home to help
their father,
Doug MacDonald,
celebrate at his
retirement party
recently. Also
attending from a
distance were
Karen and Andy
Starrett of
Tillsonburg.
We are thankful
that Joyce
Farrell is
recovering
nicely from her
recent
surgery. And our
thoughts and
prayers are with
those who are in
hospital and
those who are
battling cancer.
Largaret and
Karen McInnes
attended the
Dore and McInnes
Christmas family
gathering on
Sunday. Dianne
and Allan
Gottschalk,
Kirsten and Quin
of Shakespeare
were the host
family. One of
the highlights
of the day was
visiting with
the newest
family member,
Sierra Glazier,
and the rest of
her family,
Krista, Pat and
Serena of
Teeswater.
Folks
really enjoyed
the Santa Claus
Parade in
Kincardine. Thanks
to everyone who
went to so much
work to make it
a success.
Betty and Ken
Morrison of
Huntsville
stayed with Mary
Anne Kukoly. They
were here to
attend Lester
Ferguson's
funeral. Also
visiting with
Betty and
Ken were Ruthe
and Hugh Duncan
of Bloomingdale
and other
cousins. Mary
Anne went down
to Arthur on
Sunday to be
with Norma
Thomson and
family. Her
husband, Graham,
passed away
recently.
